Riddlesworth exceeds the requirements of the National Curriculum and our pupils leave after sitting Common Entrance and School Examinations to both public and state schools.  Many scholarships have been awarded to our leavers by a wide range of senior schools and, for more than a decade, all of our pupils have been accepted into their first choice senior school.  Our pupils develop self motivation, a good work ethos, confidence and independence as they progress through the school.

Specialist teaching starts from an early age.  French is offered as a core subject at Key Stage 1 and 2.  Design and Technology, and ICT, are also important to us and continue to be vital aspects of our curriculum.

Physical Education plays a central part in the life at Riddlesworth.  The school is set in thirty acres of parkland and regular competitive fixtures are held, with all pupils being encouraged to get involved and represent Riddlesworth at sport.

In the Prep School girls play netball, hockey, tennis and rounders and take part in athletics, swimming and cross country.  Boys will be taught rugby, hockey, cricket, cross country, orienteering, tennis and judo.  The school has four tennis courts, a fully equipped gymnasium and is about to build a new indoor swimming pool.

Art, drama and music are given the attention that they rightly deserve to ensure that pupils benefit from a complete and rounded education.  The choirs sing at local cathedrals and churches and take part in several prestigious concerts throughout the year.  A wide range of instruments are taught, including the harp.  It is common for pupils to receive prestigious musical awards, including scholarships to senior schools.

Drama is taught both within the classroom and by visiting specialists who assist with workshop sessions.  Plays and performances are staged throughout the year and pupils regularly take part in Speech and Drama competitions and sit LAMDA examinations.  There are regular visits to the theatre in London, Cambridge and Norwich.
