Drama is currently taught as an extra-curricular activity to pupils from Reception to Year 8 – though there are plans to introduce weekly lessons in the timetable September 2019.
The School has staged a wide variety of productions, ranging from audience favourites such, ‘Lion King’, ‘Oliver’, ‘Arabian Nights’ and ‘Grimm Tales’ to this year’s toe-tapping, splurge firing musical ‘Bugsy’. In short, there is something for every taste and palette.
Drama plays an important part in the wider curriculum at Riddlesworth Hall: there will always be a large cohort of pupils who relish the opportunity to perform in public, but equally there will be those who initially lack the confidence to step forward and participate in such opportunities. At Riddlesworth we encourage all pupils to ‘get involved’ in some manner and experience the exhilaration and pride of being involved, in whatever way, in a school-wide production.
