On the 12th October the whole school went to St Mary's Church in Diss to give the last in their series of lunchtime concerts. Every member of the school, from the youngest to the oldest, took part in some way.
The Pre Prep Choir opened the concert and sang several songs including the Monster Stomp, with audience participation and actions! Mr Cochrane's dancing skills were much admired during this item. The band played Mrs Mackenzie's Marvellous Mountainous Holiday suite and the recorder consort also contributed to the instrumental programme. We were privileged to hear Sophie Bowes play a flute sonata by Beethoven, and enjoyed Milly-Rose Starke's saxophone solo.
The Senior Choir outdid themselves throughout giving an especially moving performance of The Lord Bless You and Keep You by John Rutter.
The concert also saw the first public outing of Riddlesworth's Chamber Choir. The concert was extremely well attended and raised over £200 for church funds. Congratulations and thanks go to all the children for their wonderful performances and to the staff who all helped to make the day so successful.
