Our U10 girls played an exceptional game against a less experienced Notre Dame side. All their extra practice payed off and they were able to string their passes together in a slick manner. They moved the ball well, supporting each other at each pass and their shooting was outstanding. The defence broke down any attempts that were made to enter the circle and the girls met every lose ball with great determination. This was a fantastic start to the season but it became very evident that the Notre Dame girls needed help to shut down our attack without their teacher. I helped them to make changes within their team and replaced some of our stronger players with some U9,s, this made play a little more even. For the final quarter we mixed the teams to allow Notre Dame to play with our girls to gain further experience. Heidi was a worthy Captain and along with Annabelle and Amelia they shot 17 goals. Annabelle was named players player by Notre Dame but I feel that everyone deserve a mention as this is a newly formed team who show great promise.
